Eimear Shannon from Milltown has a wonderful vision for celebrating Samhain, our Celtic festival this October 31st. Oíche Shamhna.
And I will be in great company with fellow Kildare writers, Mae Leonard and Mario Corrigan, the musicians from Sionna, Eimear Shannon and Etain O Leary, and the M.C on the night is Noel Shannon.
The iNote (Irish National Organisation for Teachers of English)
I am excited and so grateful to be giving a workshop at this year's conference on teaching creative writing. It means I get to engage somewhat in this exciting new curriculum for Leaving Certificate English. This time teaching the teachers! No pressure!
If you are an English teacher, I look forward to seeing you there, and if you are not, but you know one, maybe you’d pass on this information to them. iNote is a wonderful, important organisation for teachers of English.
It is with great pleasure and immense pride that I can announce the launch of Anne’s book, The Heir. It will be launched by novelist and lecturer of Creative Writing at Maynooth University, Dr Shauna Gilligan in Naas Library on October 16th 2025 at 6.30pm, and will be available to buy in Barker and Jones, Naas.
Anne has been a very loyal supporter of Kildare Writing Centre for many years and I have had the pleasure of following the progress of this novel and getting lots of sneak previews.
Pauline's debut novel is now available from your local bookshop and online at https://www.buythebook.ie/product/charlotte-arthur
