Course Summary: How reliable is memory or does it need to be when it comes to writing memoir? This workshop will focus on the prompts that can help us remember and create written or recorded memoir. It will also look at the things we choose to forget and what writing treasures may lie in those darker regions
Short personal biography: John MacKenna is the author of twenty-four books - his twenty-fifth, a novel called The Lock-keeper's Wife will be published in September by Lilliput Press. He is also the author of ten stage plays and three radio plays and he works as a writer,
director and actor with Mend & Makedo Theatre Co which he founded in 1981.
He teaches creative writing at Maynooth University and The Hedge School on the Moone.
